Real or Imaginary

Which are better? Real or imaginary friends? Imaginary friends don't mind being put in mud, but real friends are more psychologically interesting...

Biter becomes mobile

Julia is now a quadruped! She also remains carnivorous. That makes a bad combination.

P.E.I. Beaches

P.E.I. is fringed with empty, red-sand beaches. Julia thought the sand was for eating, but she only ate a small fraction of the total population. I did surgery on jellyfish.

Guns and Flowers

There are guns and there are flowers. Why do you need flowers if you have guns?

The current citadel in Halifax was created in the 1850s to repell an attack by the US. The Halifax public gardens are from the 1860s.

Tall Ships & a piece of broken glass

The tall ships visited Halifax and I found an old piece of coloured glass (upper left). The glass maybe from a broken beer bottle though it may have been from a broken wine bottle. It had one spikey bit that looked really, really sharp. The edges were really sharp too. I walked to the garbage and put it inside.

I saw another broken bottle on the sidewalk later in the day, but I just left that one where it was.

Julia makes a bid for her own blog

Enough of me publishing under "Keefer Kicks" - I (Julia) deserve my own blog... It is my feet and my toes that are so dynamic - not Keefer's. Fix this inequity papai!

Pirates, and the Bypassing of Bureaucracy

I learn a lot of things from my cousin, Declan, but certainly one of the most useful things is how to cut red tape and get things accomplished in real time. In the video above we are working together - partners in effective bypassing of bureaucracy.

Sitting & Standing

Rocks stand against water and wind.

I sat on one for several seconds when daddy took this picture.

Distracting Big People

One of the best things about my baby sister is her ability to distract bigger boys and adults. Here she is distracting my sister's family while I run amok with my pirate agenda.

Pirate Travails

Building a pirate ship is tough work. One has to contend with ants, poor quality timber, and sirens...

My Guinness

Julia's sight and hearing might be under investigation, but nobody dares question the advanced development of her taste buds. Papai says that a pint of Guinness each day is proof of her discerning nature.

I keep forgetting that this blog is about me - Keefer. I am three. I like trains. Here I am in the middle of a swimming train with Nana, Papai, and Julia (probably after she has had a Guinness).

Very Hungry

Julia hasn't eaten for five months, so I'm not surprised that she was hungry. Good way to start the new year Julia!

Julia got this teething duck for Xmas. I was told it needed to be washed before she got it so I took it to the back bathroom and washed it. People laughed at the bedraggled thing, but its now dry and enjoyed.
