Julia sees!
Julia is now tracking objects. It is not consistent, but her everyone is thrilled at her progress. We have an MRI scheduled for later this month...

Quotable Keefer
"Not Working"
Holding up a stiffened, sun-baked earthworm a couple of days after a rain shower.
Keefer: "Buy Some Bread"
Papai: "That's a good idea, Keefer"
Keefer: "But I no have any moose in my pocket."
Referring to the caribou on the back of a twenty five cent coin.
"Kerchooo...
... I kiss you tomorrow."
thereby proving he understood the lesson about not spreading germs.
"Are you happy Papai?"
After throwing the toilet tissue roll into the sink and turning on the water for the second time in a day...

How to make a good cup of coffee.
STEP 1: Choose the beans.

These vintage beans are 22 years old. They were part of my Auntie Gillian's grade 6 science project. 22 years is old for a bean. Papai does not have any wines that old.
STEP 2: Add water.
Blending 22 year old beans from Ethiopia and Columbia.
STEP 3: clean-up.
I forget how to rotate these videos - so just turn your head side-ways.

Flash or no Flash?
Today I tried taking pictures for the first time.
The first thing you notice about photographing is that everything goes wonderfully psychedelic if you make sure to turn off the flash.

Look at these two studies of Papai's hand trying to get back the camera. Which one is more interesting? The left one! There is action there.
Here are some more of my photos. Look at my big toe.

The photo below isn't mine - I just found it on the card as I was downloading.

Papai is cheating in this blog because I know he hasn't picked up his camera in a few days... but there is also some truth here...
Yesterday we did go and visit Adamo, Graziela and my friend Amanda - but it was for a party at their home - not last month's zoo experience that Papai has fraudulently posted here.
He claims poetic license. I just think he just forgot the camera.
Meanwhile we are still looking out at the big branch that crashed in the park a week and a half ago.

Pom Pom Pops!
This is my baby sister Pom Pom. My first observation was that she has two eyes. My second observation was that her finger nails needed cutting. My third observation was that she was eating her blanket.
My baby sister was born at 2:20 in the afternoon on Saturday, July 26th.
She weighs 3.716 kg.
When I closed my eyes, I used to imagine what a sister would be like.

Pom Pom is nothing like what I imagined.
Life is good with Pom Pom. I hope my parents can agree on a name soon for their sake, but for me she will always be Pom Pom.

Pre Pom Pom
One day ago, Mamãe woke up with cramping. That meant that Pom Pom was going to pop out. I stayed home, and Mamãe and Papãe went into the hospital.
All during the day, people came and went, but I was not invited to go to the hospital until after my little sister was born.

I am 3.
On June 13th - Papae rented an eight man tent which was big enough for Kieran, Papae and me to sleep out over night. I wanted Mamae because I was scared. It rained a lot. I woke to the sound of birds chirping.
I had two parties. The first was in my own back yard with Kieran, Declan, Adam, Sarah and Amanda.
The second party was in the park in front of my house. All the neighbourhood came! Papae served beer which was illegal, and Ashley lost her golden necklace in the grass.
